YouTube Hijacking with BGP

Excellent read over at RIPE regarding Pakistan’s attempt to block access to YouTube via BGP announcements. This is why most everyone likes to keep BGP under tight control. It also documents a sexy way to regain control by leveraging the longest prefix match rule.
