NAC is dead. Long live NAC

Vernier is now Autonomic Networks. Edgewall is dead? Called this one years ago (ask John Martina). Look. NAC is useless if you don’t have that little thing called “configuration management”, nee, standards. Either you have it, under control, mature and institutionalized or you don’t. It’s been useless. It will continue to be. But maybe it will drive the point home that configuration-lifecycle management, standards and automation are necessary foundation elements of any enterprise architecture.
