*hot* Cisco Vulnerability Given ‘Write Once, Run Anywhere’ Treatement

Felix “FX” Lindner of Recurity Labs in Berlin has constructed a way to develop exploit code that will work on multiple cisco router platforms and IOS builds, overcoming a historically difficult problem. This is a huge issue, placing Cisco routers in the same monoculture as Windows.
Exploit code surely exists in the wild.
